41 Degrees and my Air conditioners packed in!!!!
Oh woe,if we lay on the floor it gives us respite for a few seconds, the repair man can't get here till next week and I'm off to work in a Hanger where it hit 120 yesterday!!!
But at least it's not raining......yet!
And the beer is cold
And it's payday tommorow!

The cold beer does taste so much better in the heat. It is the only time I like VB.

Try an old Oz trick. Wet a tea towel and let air from a fan blow through/on to it. You will have to experiment because I forget exactly how it is done.
The air coming through is cold and wet so keep it away from your computer!
(By evaporating water via forced air circulation, the water absorbes heat from the air in order for it to evaporate. Thus the resultant air stream will be colder than the surrounding air depending of course on the relative humidy and applicable ambient temperature).

oops, forgot, did the fan trick, yeah works fine as long as you have a punkah wallah to keep changing the towel, sussed it in the end,got a mist sprayer, filled with water sat by fan and squirted, room nice and cool in seconds, forearms like popeye but it's worth it!
Mind you,it's blooming raining now and 20 degrees, like they say about Melbourne "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minites!"
