and we finally get to read those immortal words
"I am pleased to advise that the application has been approved and the permanent residence visa/s was/were granted on 8 August 2005"
(there would be a ton more smilies but it won't let me)
That is the time taken since the application to DIMIA, if you include skills assessment then it is 2yrs 8mths (see sig line for details)

Seems a long tme to be waiting, our PR visa took about 14 months from start to finish.

thanks for all the congrats
house is about to go up for sale, then if it sells before Xmas I would say we will go in Feb. If sells after, then likely May but go to go by mid June and it will be on a 1 way ticket
Alan/Sonia - We had a baby end of last year which put the application on hold, add that to the days when DIMIA took longer to process applications.
