I would recommend the bayside burbs like wellington point, ormiston, birkdale etc... you can a list of all of them on www.ourbrisbane.com.au you can also see how far things are from the CBD buy looking at www.racq.com.au (travel planner in bottomright of page) or for public transport www.translink.com.au

Hope this helps

Takes best part of 60 minutes to get from Aspley to anywhere near the edge of the city during peaktimes, so you could add at least another 20-30 minutes from Aspley to Mango Hill area. At Lutwyche/Windsor you could sit for over 10 minutes without moving were the road blends from 5 lanes to 3.

Ooooh, can I have one to play in! My chipmunk would love that - she learnt to drive a tractor last weekend. Here she is on her way to work (thats why it takes her so long )

On a serious note though - Aspley to Kedron, straight down Gympie Road - occasionally achieved in under 20 minutes, in the rush hour, often takes longer.......and thats nowhere near as far as the CBD.

Mmmm...... thanks for your kind suggestion. Can now leave car at home and get there in under half the time by either pushing everyone out of the way or driving over the top. Will now be able to blend with construction crews and sneak through when road is torn up for tunnel making it even slower to everyone else to get there.
