Do you think you might feel the need to settle more if you have kids? I know they may not be on the agenda, but often having them forces people to settle more, due to schools etc.
Who knows but kids may well settle me. They seem to change peoples lives. Never happened with me as a kid so I went to boarding school. That was certainly the right thing because I would have had to change schools during key parts of the curriculum and the moves could have been highly disruptive. The way I also see it is that around the age they end primary and start secondary schools the level of disruption of a move would be limited.

Kids do indeed change lives. All I can think about really as I prepare to go home is how my two girls will like Brisbane and the QLD way of life.

You think for them first, yourself last.

Here's me and my two kids anyway Phoebe on the left, Chloe on the right and the mug-lair holding them would be me.

You look like you want to nut someone. Beauiful daughters, you must be very proud.

Anyhow as a Palace fan I should stop talking to you Charlton types.

As a kid I spent some time in Mid West US. I enjoyed it but was always glad to get back to Britain.

Not really, I have the wanderlust like you. First things first, though: kids need a big element of stability through school so I wouldn't like to see us moving frequently when eldest was (say) older than 7.

Funny, though: our 6 months in NZ are making us think that it might be better to stop here in Europe for a bit longer as we have an excellent lifestyle for our income.

We'll get NZ IRRV, hopefully, (we already nearly qualify except we have to wait until the 2 years is up and spend another 41 days living in our house there as a base), and keep the options open.

Palace are harmless; if you had've said you were a Gooner things may be different.

I've just returned from a three week long holiday in London with the highlight being watching the Eagles three times!!. As you probably know we are on a real roll and could make the play offs later today!!. They were on fire in April!

Just thought I'd share that with a fellow palace fan. .

1 Point and we're in the playoffs. Woohoo. Considering relegation was a possibility earlier in the season Dowie has worked miracles. He's still an ugly bastard.
