I recently got my 175 visa approved and made a month long trip to Australia and I liked the country a lot.
I have been working in the US for the last 8-9 years and would like to find a job in Australia and move there.
Is there a possibility to find a decent IT job from outside Australia ? or would my resume not be entertained at all ?
Any pointers for job search would be of great help.

No harm in trying but you would be very lucky. Companies don't typically need to look overseas for candidates. Did you get anywhere when you came on holiday? We used our validation trip to job hunt and both succeeded so over we moved three weeks later.

No actually we did not explore the job market then. We liked sydney more than melbourne.

Much harder from overseas as employers are worried that if an offer is made people will not turn up. Better to do it when actually in the country with a local number.

I've also met with a kind of cold response from employers while being overseas although the opportunities in my profession seems to be in great number.
