Default 15 months in.

Currently hiding in the study, enjoying the storm, whilst my darling husband and a wonderful friend (thank you, thank you!!!) lay floor tiles!!! I did manage to do 2! Knew that Bunnings tiling class would pay off!!
So, thought this was as good a time as anyway and way overdue as I did write a similar thread after 6 months.

Life's great. I will admit there have been times where I have had the smallest thought of 'what if we were to leave...?'. Don't get that anymore. Don't know why I thought that anyway. Buying a house has helped and not stressing as much about my job. Get on with my job now, work with great people and have broken up for the summer holidays so yeah!!!!

Hubby enjoys his job and we are currently doing up a house in Helensvale. Have learned a lot to take with me when we want to move!!! All the things I don't want to have to do decorating wise next time!

Weekends seem to always be busy socialising either here on the Coast or in Brissie with fabulous people! (You know who you are!! )

I go horse riding twice a week, we go for weekend walks at the local beach, eat out at lovely restaurants, breakfast a lot (I am personally on a mission to find the best Eggs Benedict in SE QLD!!! - Domanis, Main Beach so far!). Renovating has taken up a lot of time so getting to the gym, cycling (promise we will soon N & J!!), swimming at the beach and all the other things we used to do have been put on hold for now. That's the great thing about living here though. We will get to do all those things again and yes, it's pouring down with rain outside just now but you don't stress as there are so many great weather days to come. I'm actually glad it's raining as I don't have to water the garden and the pool is getting filled up!

I still catch myself driving along the coast, the sun shining and think 'Wow I live here.' Looking back, yes there have been downs when we've felt stressed but I believe we have overall been very lucky in the things we can do and the people we have met.

Looking forward to Christmas, we have become the holiday hotspot for family from Canberra and Sydney. Will do the same on Christmas day as last year...early beach session (still going ahead Karen?), back for pressies, men cook food on bbq (love that part!!) while my sisters and I float on the pool with bubbly in hand! Even found an inflatable drinks tray and cooler for the pool. How good is that!!

Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone!

Really pleased for you both that you are so happy. So it seems that it has taken moving to the other side of the world to see Steve's DIY skills come out, but when you have John the Bunnings maestro on your side it's hardly surprising. X-mas day is still on and enjoy your 6/7 weeks off ( jammy bugger ) all the best Quill and co
