138er got a visa!!!!
I posted this on the immigration forum but thought that some of you would be interested in seeing our timeline just to get an idea. Soooo relieved the waiting game is now over!
We just got a phone call from our agent today telling us we have our visas!!!
Woohoooo! Good luck to all of you still waiting. You will get there in the end!
This is our timeline:
29/4/05 Application lodged at DIMIA
24/10/05 Did Meds/pcc unrequested - agents advice
9/11/05 DIMIA request meds,pccs and aos
11/11/05 Sent off pccs to agents and doctor sent off meds to DIMIA
16/11/05 Agents receive docs and send them to DIMIA
24/11/05 Assurer (hubbies sister) has appointment at Centrelink
9/12/05 Assurer received the bond money we sent her
9/12/05 Assurer has lodged bond
14/02/05 HAVE VISA!!! OMG OMG!!
We're heading to Perth by July, can't wait.

we have just sent our 47sk off on tuesday. we're going on a 138 subclass sponsored visa. Hubby's sister is our sponsor. what do you think about doing medicals and police checks before requested. We would love to have our visas for christmas

Kozzae, I don't know what to tell you about getting your meds, pccs done unrequested. Only reason we did them unrequested (6 months after our application was lodged) was because our agents told us to do them. Two weeks later they were requested so agents must have known the average timeline. Don't forget that once you do the pcc's and meds they are valid for 1 year and you will have to make your entry into Australia before that dead line.
