Default 10,000 jobs go begging in Adelaide

just thought the folks in the UK might like to know yesterday's headlines in the local Adelaide daily newspaper.
It talked about South Australia's economy being stunted unless 10,000 workers, mainly in the building trade, engineers, etc. were recruited.

We were getting worried because our agent was saying there might be a problem finding jobs in Adelaide due to the car plant closing.
My husband's a Mechanical Engineer.
Which paper was the report in so I can take a look?

There were was only going ot be 300-400 job losses at the plant, but that might not happen now due to someone else taking it over.

Hah, so that's where we can send all those civil servants that Gordon Brown is about to kick out of their jobs.

The two problems the advertiser also highlighted though, was that most of the 10'000 were casual jobs, and that the actual number of jobs (10'000), was derived from the number of vacancies on the gov job site. Now....the problems with that figure is that most of the jobs on that site are listed more than once, by more than once agency, and that a large number of jobs were from the military.
