So the Government is giving the Illegals a free train ticket to the frontier with France or Austria. Vergogna! Inciting further illegality. It is thanks to this sort of behaviour that they are encouraging illegal immigration.
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem whatever with "Real" asylum seekers.

As a matter of fact, the Austrian police runs control at the border and send back to Italy hundreds of migrants every week, and the French police started the same policy last week in the south of France. Italy has received complaints from many European counties, including Switzerland for failing to register and fingerprint illegals.
The Commission is going to send commissars to operate in Italy, as the Dublin rules are not applied here by the Italian authority .

Really this laxness is what started the avalanche. They arrive with no documents having sent them on to relations or Friends already in Europe. In Spain they are kept in camps with guards until they are identified and they are then repatriated.
Italy appears to be the only country with a 3 or 4 star service by the seaside......

Yes, and let's not forget that Marem Nostrum was started by italian own decision ONLY, after the death of 350 in October 2013.
Since then the number of deaths has INCREASED to 5 times that. Clever or what ?

The first centres are one thing and they are not even secure from what we are shown in the media. The centres that are used in the provinces vary immensely, the one that was shown last week was a 4* hotel on the Adriatic Riviera. The owner was paid 42 Euros per day, I will not post the comments made by the owner regarding her latest occupants behaviour, However she was happy to be able to stay open during the low season and retain her staff.
Again as in most of the other provincial locations the "Immigrants" were free to come and go as they pleased. Considering that most are without documents, this is not a desireable situation. There are many military camps which have been abandoned in recent years, I know of two in Albenga, Giovanotti spent a year in one of them.... At the end of the day the Italian system tries to identify them for 30 days, fails and then releases them with an order to leave the territory within 14 days........ In the UK there are over 1000 Asylum seekers that have been awaiting confirmation of their status in closed camps for over 7 years... Camerons' proposed new laws in the UK will allow confiscation of all opossessions and forced repatriation. Why do sub Saharan/W. Africans come to Italy while Spain is so much nearer and easier to reach. Quite a few Europeans have even swum from Spain to Marocco, not sure what they were escaping from though, so rowing would not be out of the question let alone the normal dinghies. Is there a fundamental difference that makes Italy the preferred destination other than the fine pasta dishes and Pizza?

A few months ago a group of illegal poured pans full of pasta in the street outside one of the centres in Veneto, as they were bored with bland and alien to their customs food.

Yesterday 30 illegal immigrants were picked up at sea by the Spanish authorities. They have already been repatriated to Marocco, their country of departure. Why doesn't Italy do the same? How high up does the corruption go?
Italy is NOT part of the solution, it is the cause!

Some sources of informations affirm that more than 25% of illegal migrants ARE not processed in Italy.

The migrants do :

* [Destroy their own documents

* Hide and lie about their nationality

* Some even burn off the skin of their thumbs to avoid accurate fingerprinting

What a mess !

In the meantime France and Austria have practically rescinded the Skengeng treaty by controlling documents of travellers.
