Italy's Got Talent
Starts tomorrow. Was intrigued ... But just noticed during the advert that Maria Di Fillipi is one of the judges... So I'm imagining it's going to be the same old same old Canale 5 crap and the winner will win San Remo.

They did a pilot show a couple of months back, i might have watched it if the judges hadn't been Maria Di Fillipi and Gerri Scotti And anyway, as you say it will be the same old mediaset rubbish.

Yes, Canale 5 has a pool of about 10 presenters who are the "experts" in everything! Wonder if Gerry Scotti and Maria de' Filippi will end up with state funerals like Mike Bongiorno got?
I can't fathom how anyone can listen to Maria's voice for longer than 5 mins...

I find Mrs Costanzo's habit of explaining everything someone else say's as so annoying. I heard it the first time. I don't need it repeated.

Oh dear - sounds like it will be the same old crap doesnt it
What a shame - could've been good if they had different presenters.
I reckon De Filippi and Company live at Mediaset - they cant possibly have a life cos theyre on telly every day !

Re: Italy's Got Talent
the pilot was funny ... the point of the show is to see people exhibit their talents - some hilariously embarassing and others serious. I can't see how Simon or Piers or whathisnames wife are any better or simpatici than Gerry.
I'm taking a stand. I'm defending Gerry and Maria. I like watching (extremely) light entertainment. I like switching off my brain and having a laugh. I LIKE MARIA AND GERRY !!!!!!

Re: Italy's Got Talent
How long did it go on for?
Is it me or are the Italian versions of UK programs overlong? Strictly Come Dancing and the X-Factor are very slick, professional shows with great editing. You wouldn't guess they were live. Whereas Ballando con le Stelle and Eeeks-Factor rambled on and on and seemed to go on until midnight. Ok so it's a popular format but does that justify having nothing else on?

Re: Italy's Got Talent
It's not often I say this, but I agree with Duffer. Eeeeks Factor, Brits Got Talent etc are very fast moving shows in the UK but the Italian equivalents seem to go on forever. I watched IGT last night, and tbh it was better than expected but at 10.30 I gave up and went to bed. I used to watch Amici which is targetted at a tenn audience imo and that used to run past midnight on a SCHOOL NIGHT How do Italians manage to watch these progs and get up for work early the next day?
