We moved back home to Salerno on Sunday. I spent the whole of Monday on the usual "trasloco" of all my son's and OH's stuff who move to a small village in the middle of nowhere every year from the end of June to the beginning of September. While I was emptying suitcases etc, my OH started listing all the things I had caused to break during their absence:
- bidet leaking water on bathroom floor (tap broken)
- citofono in the kitchen not working (something electrical)
- decoder in the kitchen not working (something electrical)
- tap on the sink outside the veranda sprouting water (filter broken)
- handle on door on cupboard outside another balcony stuck (new handle)
- printer in my son's room not working (still no idea why)
I swear everything was working and nothing was leaking three weeks ago when I left the house ... honestly. I DID NOT DO ANYTHING.
I spent today with a plumber and an electrician (had to change tap on bidet, which meant changing tap on sink because they don't make the same model any more-MY FAULT the company has discontinued the line and MY FAULT because I didn't want two different taps in the same bathroom).
I blame gremlins ...........

Poor you!! Turn the water off next time, then let him turn it on when you return so you can blame all the instant leaks and drips on him! Stuff happens! Our new kittens did a good job of wrecking the place while we were away! They even managed to pee in the potato box! Took me a week to track down where the smell was coming from....

thankfully I always turn off the water at the mains before leaving the house ... OH noticed the leaks when he turned it back on !
gremlins continue to invade the house while he's out though.
He left yesterday afternoon for work and the computer was working perfectly. Got back this morning, switched it on and none of programmes would open (had to re-format the harddisk this afternoon). I didn't touch it last night, I didn't even go into his study ...
why do these things always happen when he's not around ?

I don't know much about computers but I do know that my OH hates Windows 7 with a vengence... I have an older version of windows than that and he has linux and windows so I guess that is a linux partition??

I love windows seven, I have used computers since dos, I have two main pcs and a laptop all on seven, the two main pcs have a linux partition the laptop I installed linux with wubi which is a quick easy install , windows seven works perfectly on my pcs, one pc I bought a year ago as a back up from pc world for £99 and its runs windows seven ultimate perfectly. people complained about vista including me but it was fine after about a year , windows seven great I wrote an online review on cnet, for linux I am using linux mint and my two printers work on wifi with it, anyone want to try linux google wubi and it installs itself and you can uninstall if you dont like it windows stays intact, windows forever!!
