Does anybody have any advice about how I can apply for Zambian birth and marriage certificates (issued during Northern Rhodesian times). I have ascertained that you have to phone Lusaka to order (nobody ever answers), or go in person. What I’m after is an agent or somebody based in Lusaka who can makes things happen – any suggestions? (www.bunnyhop.co.za don’t do Zambia).

Thanks for this. I will certainly explore this option. Just to let others who need Zambian info that I have found a website that allows you to ask Zambian related questions: www.askzambia.com - it didn't give me an answer to my question but others might find it useful.

I had to do it for my brother who was born in Zimbabwe in Southern Rhodesia times. It was a good while ago though and sanctions were in place. I wrote to Harare and they then told me what to do.

So perhaps if you write to them they will give you the instructions of what to do.

I had to get US dollar bank draft and deal through the US but we got it no trouble at all.
