Smile SA - Sorta weather question really

Hi Guys

Looking for a little advice if you would be so kind. We are visiting SA in the last week of August and the first two weeks of Sept. What sort of temps do you usually get around this time please??

The missis need to know what to bring you see, or else we will doubtless bring it all. We are travelling for JB - Kruger - PE - CT so really hoping the weather is kind to us!

Thanks in advance

JB - Kruger:
During the day it can get easily up to the upper 20C, during the night maybe in the low 10.
Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, sweater, maybe a light jacket, I think you would be fine then.

PE - CT not sure, can't help you there.

From memory PE will be around 20-23 C in late aug/Sep and CT a bit warmer. Check on the net there are loads of stats (have a look at the bbc weather pages)

Hi RIDD,

It is towards the end of winter, so will probably be quite nice most of the time, as the guys say 20-23, but will be chilly in the nights....

BUT to follow averages is a risky thing! if there is a cold front coming through it will feel really cold, so bring a few fleeces and light wind proof coat. Also your early mornign game drives in Kruger, will be really cold (but worth it). They do give you blankets, but really wrap up warm and take a wooly hat!

... She will probably take everything anyway...!!

CT: very mixed. Probably about 16C to 22C on average. Might get a real nice sunny spell or it could be very stormy and wet. A bit like blighty. You are in the back end of winter C.T. Warm but could be stormy.
