We always experienced shortages, but we were fighting a very extensive and expensive war at the time. Our petrol and diesel was severely rationed. Us farmers were very fortunate in that we got a very generous allowance, and we all managed to survive it by sharing coupons whenever anyone needed to travel long distances. Just the nature of the beast.About 12 years ago they experienced a shortage of flour. A close family friend owned one of the few bakeries in Salisbury. His daughter, actually did part time work for the madman, used to have to fly up there from zims to bribe her way with the relevant ministers. Luckily she'd been a model and was able to sweetalk an eskimo into buying ice, so they always had it. wink
The list goes on.
