Default Namibia

Hey

I am off with the Mrs (Namibian) in Dec for a few family weddings and to spend 10 days driving round in a camper 4x4 looking at epic views and wildlife.

Any do's and don'ts / areas I should be aiming to visit?

Have a few places on our list and as shes Namibian I think we are in good stead but wondering if there are any must do locations / hidden gems.

Cheers

Default Re: Namibia

It depends what you're interested in but I'd consider Kolmanskop (https://kolmanskop.net/), which is about 10 kms from Luderitz and easy to access. Etosha and Damaraland for wildlife? The Skeleton Coast (desolate, shipwrecks on the coast and inland, seals, sea birds)?

Namibia and the whole experience of its colours, views and the lonely roads is special. I haven't been there for a few years, but I'd go back without any hesitation. Just take the usual precautions in a country that has high levels of poverty. Take plenty of water if you're driving independently, it's a big country with long distances between towns and December is hot, but your wife will know about this.
