Default Car breakdown - SA style

Another mishap on the road... Car breakdowns are always one of those things you just can't control because you can't predict them in advance.

I'm sorry to hear that, Daxk. You know, I thought I knew this chap too, but I wasn't quite sure. I used to deal with a couple of German car people in Randburg who must have been about this age. I remember standing with one of them shortly before departing, and he was lamenting that he would like to leave, but felt he was too old to start again. A decent, civilized man.

The cops have issued a statement this morning saying that anyone who stops on that particular stretch of road (the N14 near the R511 exit) will be arrested. I think that - just perhaps - they may be missing the point here.

So I suppose you have to take your chances if you break down - get beaten and shot by the Diepsloot gangs, or beaten and asked for a bribe in the back of a police car.

Gotta love this country.

This is so tragic Daxk. So senseless and why so many are buggering off. Sad thing is, most wait until something really awful happens before they see the light. Anyway, more on this story of your friend. http://www.news24.com/News24/South_A...457667,00.html
