Group reporting manager = accountant?
I've recently had my skills assesed positively as an accountant by ICAA and I'm now just building up my 12 months post CIMA qualification experience in order to meet the basic migration requirements for Australia. I will have 12 months post qual experience in Jan 2009.
At the moment I am working as a senior management accountant, but I have been offered another position within the finance department as a Group Reporting Manager.
My question is - will this role still be acceptable as experience as an accountant?
The role involves the implementation of a new budgeting and forecasting system, financial reporting and KPI reporting. It's quite systems based but still relates to finance.
It's a lot more money - but don't want to take it if it will affect my migration dreams!
