Default CIMA in Sydney

Hey All,

Just started the process of doing my VISA. I am a bit worried about a pay drop, as paid well in London as a management accountant, has anyone done the same and moved from the City to Sydney. How have people got on, as feel it may take a while to get use to?

Thanks

Alex

Long term you will improve your prospects in Australia if you do the CA Program (to become an Australian Chartered Accountant). CIMA members may be exempt up to two out of five subjects.

You will need an ICAA member in your workplace to sign off on your work experience.

Moved April no pay drop. But be prepared for very lax standards.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, I think that I need to do Tax and Audit, and then I will be good. Might see how I go once I get there, as doing my CFA at the moment. So not sure which direction I am going to go once I get there.

Thanks

Alex

You will need to do more than that, sorry. See http://www.icaa.org.au

Thanks for the info, seems quite a lot to do, especially on top of my CFA, so will give it a miss to start with.
