New to this site....but not the US
Hi,
Came upon this site yesterday, can't remember from what link (shocking that my memory is going so much!)
Not new to the USA, as posted above, have been in SE Michigan for 3 years. Have also had a 3 year spell in Louisville, KY.
I am a wife following her husband around and have 2 daughters, middle and high school age. We are now the proud possessors of Green cards, although we don't know if our long term future is in the USA. We're pretty sure that we'll be here for the next 5 years or so to get our girls into US colleges.
I hate the Michigan winter and I don't ski or snowboard! As a family we have various activities, the main ones being mountain biking and climbing, also watching Doctor Who and keeping up with Strictly come dancing (and for the first time in years, there seem to be 'celebs' I am still familiar with). We have fully adapted to watching US sport (Go Tigers after last night!) although Aston Villa games find their way onto our DVR every weekend.
That's us in a nutshell, I think. Not particularly exciting, just getting on with whatever comes our way. Although, in what was an extremely exciting moment yesterday, I found some galaxy bars in Meijer for 34 cents each. I have no idea why but I'm not complaining.............

Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself. We have several members living in the Michigan area...they usually hang out in the US Forums. I hate the New Jersey winters too...far too much snow and ice for my liking...not to mention the sub zero temperatures.
I see you have already posted in the US forums...here are a few useful links to help you find your way around the site. If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.
Any problems or concerns should be addressed to a mod or admin. The mods for the US Immigration forums are Bob, MsElui and penguinsix.
Please give me a shout if I can be of further help. I look forward to seeing you in the US forums.

Have lived in the south and liked it very much (apart from the first question people asking you being 'what church do you go to?'). Unfortunately job does not permit that at the mo, so Michigan it is.
