I've been in Montreal for 8 years now and love it. I am happy to answer questions on how to get about in this beautiful city!

Welcome to BE. Great to have you aboard.
If you haven't already, take a look at the Canada forum. You will find it by pressing the 'forum index' tab on the pink bar at the top of this page,scroll down until you see 'Canada' double click and you're in. You will find lots of great folks who are also expats to exchange some banter with, and you will also be a great source of advice for any new folks making the move to Montreal - and there sure are plenty of people making their way to Canada lately.

You will find lots of great folks who are also expats to exchange some banter with, and you will also be a great source of advice for any new folks making the move to Montreal - and there sure are plenty of people making their way to Canada lately.

It's always nice to welcome new members...so hopefully you'll be able to use your experience in Quebec to help new members. I spent a wet week or so in Montreal this summer before heading back west to Toronto and then the US.
I see you've already found your way into our Canada forums but if you have any problems finding your way around the many BE forums AmyDavid and The Aviator are concierges for the Canada forums...they will be pleased to help you find your way around.
For any other problems please contact a moderator. The mods for the Canada forums are Iaink and Christmasoompa...although any mod or admin will be pleased to help you.
If you have any problems please give me a shout.
