Visiting Canada
Morning all,
Just a quick question.
The missus and I want to visit Canada a couple of times over the next few months. Me for a couple of golf events, and the missus to visit Niagara (again!) and to see her Mom when her Mom visits Vancouver.
My question (maybe a silly one), is how do we get into Canada? We got our green cards a few weeks ago, so do we just wave these at the Canadians, eh? Or do we use our British passports?
And coming back, do we wave the GC at the US border official? Or do we have to have both GC and passport together?
Sorry, that was more than one question.
As usual any help is appreciated.

Before I became a USC I always showed both my UK PP and my GC. Whether you need them or not it doesn't harm to take both.

We went to Niagara Falls last summer. I took both my UK passport and Green Card and both the Canadian and American border control only looked at my Green Card.

Re: Visiting Canada
If you're driving, then when you cross into Canada, show your GC first and, if they ask for it, your UK passport. Coming back to the US, show your GC. Currently, a GC holder isn't required to present a foreign passport when crossing a land border into the US.
If you're flying, then do the same! To get on the airplane however, you'll probably be required to show your passport.
