Hi,
I don't know if I'm being presumptious, but I must let you know that there is more than one lady who answers at the London Embassy. One has an accent and sounds "short" and to the point but is very helpful and knowledgeable.
The other one sounds younger and gave me information that I knew was wrong. She said that if a fiance is fingerprinted, it takes 6 months for the prints to be processed by the FBI and returned. This is a load of bollocks. (Can I say that word? I picked it up from my fiance) Anyway, it's 6-8 weeks total. So please don't believe everything you hear from these workers. Do ask questions or read previous posts here in this newsgroup. I hope I haven't offended anyone! I know there are some newbies and I didn't want them to be disheartened if they were in the same predicament that we found ourselves in. By the way, if anyone is flying direct to San Diego from London, I would love to hear your experiences coming through immigration here.
