I don't mind US baked beans occasionally, though I do find them a bit too sweet, and no use for eating as part of a cooked breakfast.

I have never found anything other than US BBQ baked beans in a heavy sweet sauce.

We have found that the Heinz vegetarian beans, made in Canada, are an acceptable, though slightly sweeter, alternative to the eyewatering cost of imported UK Heinz baked beans.

I buy Chinese mustard, tastes pretty much the same. I do prefer the powdered kind though.

Thanks for that. Although, strangely I never get on with powdered mustard. Can't seem to get the same 'zing' out of it.

I found those beans in Walmart for $1 a can. Walmart is good for some things. They are almost $3 a can in some other supermarkets, which I refuse to pay that much for just a can of beans.

Totally agree, beans are meant for putting together a quick, cheap meal. For example beans on toast should not cost over $3 to make.

Oxtail soup (I'm concerned because it's meat)
Marmite (we are a love it house)
Branston pickle
Suet (for dumplins)
Bisto gravy
Oxo cubes
PG tips!

I'm sure ill find more between now and July! What foods do you miss?
I haven't seen anyone mention "Myers of Keswick," a little shop in the West Village of NYC. They do mail order and have wonderful bangers and meat pies as well as biscuits, jams, candy, etc. At Christmas, they have a good selection of Christmas cakes and mince pies. Excellent store although I've never done mail order with them.
