Yes - the link that was posted does appear to be dead. There were alternate ways to register your cards, via Facebook and Twitter. I don't know if those are still working or not.

For those that did manage to register cards then they should remain good for the spend rebate until 12/31.

For those who want to stay on top of developments in the deal there is a mahoosive thread about this on Slickdeals.

Twitter registration still alive per Dan's Deals.

Also references a Costco promo.

The statement that I read after I registered said the $25 "credit" would appear on my billing statement.

You should be fine. I have used this type of AMEX deal for a few years now and never missed a credit. They are usually very quick to e-mail to confirm (a) registration and (b) use of the card, but in the past I have missed an e-mail or two here and there but always received my credit. Their customer service is also pretty good, and I have read accounts from others who have not received a credit but have contacted AMEX who have corrected the matter. I think that this is excepptional though, as most do not need to chase at all.

Default Credit posted

I made my first transaction on Sunday evening, and now I look at the AMEX account online I see that the statement credit of $25 has posted to my account the following day (yesterday). Very good/quick. I will do a few more now (registered all my cards yesterday).

You're welcome. I registered all of mine and Mrs tonrob's AMEX cards for this.

I made 2x $75 purchases on Sunday as a test. Both were reinbursed. Then on Monday I did 4x $75. I got those back yesterday. This morning I made another 4x $75. If these are fine as well (very much assume that they will) then I'll do the rest early next week. This is turning into a nice little haul!

AMEX also currently has a Kohl's $10 off when you spend $50. That's a 20% discount, and Kohl's sells gift cards for other retailers. I'm going to go down there later to check them out.

My wife didn't get the email either, but the $25 credit was applied a couple of days ago all the same. So I wouldn't worry too much. As long as you got the registration confirmed email, you're all set.

It works once per card for every card you registered. I registered lots of cards, but can only use them once each.

The only offer I've come across recently that you can use multiple times per card is the BP offer.

You could try the Kohl's route for 20% off. I think they might sell Amazon and/or Kindle gift cards (Kindle GCs basically being an Amazon GC in different clothing).
