33.3% off at Amazon with AMEX
Mommy Points sums it up nicely here along with the relevant link.
You can register every AMEX card you hold, including authorized users and AMEX cards not issued by AMEX. You will receive an e-mail from AMEX within 1-2 minutes to confirm your registration and then another shortly after your Amazon order thanking you for using your registered card.
If not ready to buy anything now then simply order yourself an Amazon gift card with e-mail delivery, which you'll receive in just a few minutes and then add this to your account.
Edit: Amazon also sell GCs for a small selection of other retailers, mostly restaurants/fast food, but I do see Staples and Whole Foods.

Nice... thanks! Although my husband did just point out that the domain name is probably worth checking out for security reasons.

Seems legit. Thanks again Would be interesting to know if you got an immediate confirmation email from Amex once you'd made the spend though. I got a confirmation email from Amex within seconds on Small Business Saturday, but nothing to confirm the credit for this one yet.

Maybe AMEX's systems are flooded - this is all over the interwebs so every man and his (authorized user) dog are jumping on.

Thanks. I did textbook rentals so they may not be covered under the offer I guess. It doesn't matter though, I needed them anyway and I can always order something else if not

Got my confirmation email, but it wasn't quite instant.
Noticed that there are lots of amex offers on the "offers" tab on the amex website right now. Plenty of gas and various other shopping ones. I was momentarily intrigued by one where you could get $1000 back on a $5000 purchase. No idea what the store is as I've never heard of it turns out to be some luxury bed shop.

I've also done $30 back on $150 at Tiger Direct, $5 back on $30 at Mobil and $20 back on $80 at Walmart.com in recent weeks.
These also stack successfully with shopping portal bonuses, so can be quite lucrative overall.

I've done a few other of their offers recently. Most are single-use, but the BP $5 back when spending $25 at the pump isn't, and I've successfully used this one 3 time so far.

I get pretty wound up about the spending people do for xmas. Particularly on "stocking stuffers" which tend to be stupid junk I don't want but I have to sit there smiling and saying thankyou for this and that.

We've been using the cash back at Sprouts too if you spend over $50. Amex is great at the mo.

AMEX e-mails of this type do vary in time lag. I've made 4 purchases so far, 3 lots of $75 Amazon eGCs and 1 lot of Whole foods $75 GCs, and I received confirmation e-mails pretty quickly for all (can't remember exactly, but somewhere between 2 and 60 minutes).

Still not gotten mine from purchases on Amazon this morning about 10 a.m. And yes, I registered the card.

Just realized that you can also earn cash from ebates.com when you shop via Amazon. So annoying that I just finished doing most of my shopping on there!
