What visa are you going on? Who is the job offer with? We are here in Vic on my husbands 457, he is also a truck driver but works for a company in a regional postcode. WE have another year to go on the 457 before we can apply for RSMS then he still has to stay with his emplyer for another 2 years, making it 4 yeard in total.

Which depot will you be working from as you won't be able to work from Sunshine as this is not in a regional postcode, just make sure that they give you all the facts before you go ahead as you may end up working in the middle of nowhere. A 457 visa is only temporary, ask them if they will sponsor you for PR via RSMS after 2 years, if they say yes get it in writing. If they say no then you will have to go home after 4 years or so. Do you have a family that you are bringing with you?

There is a demand for drivers up north in the sugar canefields. Believe they are urgently needed in the next 3 weeks - chance to use bargaining power and get a visa and perhaps flights sorted for a seasons work in the sun?

Have you considered Williamstown? If OzzTennis sees this he may bombard the thread with photos
Introduce yourself on Britvics - there are a few folk living out in Geelong and places like Point Cook, Sanctuary Lakes etc.

My hubby is a trucker back here in the Uk. We are desperately trying to find someone who will sponsor him. Do you of anyone who may do this?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks in anticipation of your reply,
