Where do *you* buy your Christmas cards?

Re: Where do *you* buy your Christmas cards?
Slow down! This discussion is supposedly about cards! No one's offended by Christmas, though I suppose some might dislike having it shoved down their throat! Like many people, I use the custom of sending Christmas cards as a means of staying in touch with people with whom I don't regularly correspond. I send Christmas cards to people who celebrate it, and I choose a generic Season's Greetings card for those I know do not, or a Chanukah card where it is appropriate. I do this not because anyone is getting offended with me, but because I think it is courteous to be sensitive to my friends' beliefs and feelings. I don't see any reason to get worked up about other people using "happy holidays" -- it has no effect on my celebration of the season, to each their own!

You've echoed my thoughts extremely well. Why don't people employ a little reason and tolerance? We worked with a Jewish couple who weren't offended by Christmas - they just ignored the reason for the holiday, but used it to curry favor with others with "Christmas gifts"! I can't say I've ever met or spoken to anyone who was offended by the word or the celebration. Now, they may have gotten p-waddy tired of all the rigamarole that goes along with it and the commercialism - but not the ritual, itself.
I guess I never understood complainers generally. You should complain about things that seriously matter. In my example of Diwali, why would I complain of being offended by it? If I lived in Southall, it's a heavily Indian area so I would expect people to celebrate Diwali and good luck to them if they enjoy it.
My neighbour makes a lot of noise but we never complain about it. We kind of expect it living in a flat, there are worse things to worry about and besides, falling out with him would hardly be condusive to a pleasant atmosphire.

Most people we know get theirs made with their own photos. At first I thought this was kinda cheesy but now I think it is great to see how families change over time.
We did it last year and this year but we put a picture of our boxer on the card - he is way more photogenic than us! Attachment 104555
