You are resorting to the same tired old liberal smear that one who criticizes Islam or is critical of Islamic militancy is against Muslims. This is the same dishonest that Bill Maher had to confront from Ben Affleck.

Here's the deal: being critical of Islam is not the same as hating Muslims. POinting out that Militant Muslims are carrying out attacks in the name of Islam and are following the words of their prophet is just stating the facts. If we applied your accusation to Whites then any criticism of the KKK, Colonialism or White Nationalism is criticism and hatred of Whites. What you are doing is the same thing supporters of Israel do, smear critics of Israeli policy as anti-Semitic.

That's why he supports the Taleban , because the Taleban are Pashtun Nationalists who are also Salafists. Almost all of the Taleban are Pashtuns.

Exactly, which is what the Justice Dept is doing. In contrast to Boomhaueur who seems unable to acknowledge that there may be other factors involved here than Islamic extremism.

No..I am only being honest questioning your attitude towards Muslims.

Now here is one of the main reasons I do not buy the ISIS connection. If one were truly a devoted ISIS follower it is highly unlikely they would turn down the opportunity to join a supposed ISIS plot...and yet that exactly what he did. When he was under suspicion by the FBI they ultimately used an undercover operative to lure him into a plot to carry out a terrorist attack...with ISIS sympathizers. He declined and walked away. Does not sound like a devoted ISIS devotee.

IMHO he used the ISIS cover to hide his real motive out of his own self loathing for being gay...not something he would have wanted to be the reason discovered for what he did. Sometimes, you see, there is more to something than what meets the eye.

I agree. If he was such a big ISIS supporter, would he be permitting his wife to trot around in western garb? Not a hijab in sight in the photos of her.

The AG specifically wanted to redact the killer's mention of Islamic State and Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi from the 911 transcript . How is this taking all evidence into consideration?

The 911 transcript released to the public. It's not the same as what they are using as part of their ongoing investigation.

Why couldn't he just be someone who is a self hating homosexual And supports militant Islam.

While ISIS is infamous for throwing gays off rooftops , their commanders and higher-ups are also accused of engaging in gay sex.

My point was that if one is going to claim the AG is pursuing a holistic approach in assigning blame then why did they try to censor the 911 transcript. That smacks of manipulating the narrative.

"The Attorney General also said, however, that the investigation shows there was no doubt that Mateen's act was one of terror and hate and that he was influenced by jihadist propaganda on the Internet.

"We believe that is certainly one avenue of radicalization, but we want to know if there are others," she said. "We want to know everything he did in the days, weeks and months leading up to this attack."

From the link I previously posted.

They weren't redacting it from the entire investigation. They were redacting it from what was released to the public. Redaction doesn't mean "throw away forever and pretend it never happened" ... it's a process of omitting sensitive text prior to publication.

Haven't been keeping up with this thread, where's the discussion now at? Repeal the 2nd amendment and ban all the guns even though stats show the vast majority of gun owners in this country don't go around shooting people and the worst gun crime exists in cities that have the toughest gun laws or apologizing for Muslim extremism and calling everyone a racist bigot that suggest otherwise? Would love to spend a day in the shoes of some of the people on here, probably tantamount to being stoned

More likely it would improve your intelligence quotient and your ability to see more clearly that Americans...including in conservative states...approve by huge majorities, of stricter gun controls. In other words you might actually see reality instead of the ludicrous garbage you spew without regard for your apparent lack of common sense.

Any official stats on that, chief?

Real stats, btw, not drivel from CNN or Huffington Post
