It's much like what Thatcher did to the IRA dubbing Adams.

Besides much of the evidence points to a man struggling with his own sexuality and the terror aspect seems to have been an afterthought.

Pretty outrageous, really

The Obama/Dem sycophants on here have nothing to say about it though because it distracts from their ban all the guns agenda

That is no excuse for lying to the public about the motivation for the attacks. Lying is never the answer . The public deservers to know the truth ; a free and democratic society demands it.

Back in the fifties, in England, I used to go up in the loft and play with the goodies in my father's old wartime tin trunk. He had three guns in there, his service revolver (or pistol? I don't know much about guns) and a couple of German ones. Also a German bayonet and a Luftwaffe officers ceremonial sword in a beautiful blue leather scabbard.

One year he handed the guns in at the police amnesty. So my brother and I had to play war with the bayonet and the sword. Bit unequal, because the sword was a heck of a lot longer than the bayonet...

I don't think it's clear yet what the motivation was. Latest I'm reading is that the guy had a gay relationship and was concerned he'd contracted HIV. Maybe it was ISIS-inspired, maybe it wasn't, but I'm "guessing" that ISIS doesn't condone gay sexual relations.

The shooter pledged allegiance to ISIS. ISIS claimed respondibility for the shooting, and even though there isn't proof ISIS was directly involved with Omar Mateen the shooter was an ISIS sympathiser and ISIS has called on Muslims in the West to carry out lone wolf attacks.
ISIS claims responsibility for Orlando mass shooting - CBS News

He said the Boston marathon bombers were his homeboys

The shooter's father supports the Taleban. The shooter said the killings were revenge for US foreign policy in Afghanistan and Pakistan

His being gay or not doesn't negate his ISIS sympathies . It just means he was a self hating gay person who supported Jihadism.

I don't know why there is this attempt to deny his Islamic motivations when the guy himself states it.

Apparently telling the truth about radical Islam might offend someone.

Are you saying that's a bad thing or a good thing?

Definitely a good outcome, but a terrible reason to shy away from the truth.

So when someone claims that Satan made them do it, we should take it at face value?

So? All that means is that he supports Islamic militant agenda in general and doesn't agree with intra Islamic group rivalry. There have been many other Jihadi fighters in Syria who don't like seeing Sunni groups fighting each other .

In the below Atlantic article , it is mentioned that ISIS members (as a mark of respect) still refer to Osama Bin Laden as "Sheikh Osama" .
