Probably the rainiest time of the year, with the occasional flood.

I'm a Brit that lives in Thailand. It's difficult explaining what the rainy season is all about in Thailand because as soon as you mention the word "rain" - it is viewed as bad weather by people from cold climates.

We are right in the middle of "rainy season" right now and the last few days have been 35 degrees with clear blue skies. What rainy season generally means to me is that it often rains at around 4pm or 5pm in the evening for an hour or so - if we are lucky. Sometimes we get really lucky and it can rain all night. Very rarely will it rain all day anywhere north of Chumpon. When you live in Thailand - RAIN IS GOOD

Now phuket is a different story. Rainy season or not, it can pretty much rain there at any time.
