Default Car and medical insurance

Hi
I am planning to be In Spain for up to 6 months at a time.
I am Uk based and would like to know if anyone has experience of insuring a Uk car for this period abroad and buying travel/ medical insurance for this length of stay.
many thanks

Hi

I seem to recollect in another thread that Saga insurance covers you for a whole year abroad or in the UK (presumably you are UK based and tax domiciled)

Talk to your normal insurer. Although the standard duration is normally 90 days in any single trip, most will extend this for free or payment of an additional (usually fairly small) premium.
Same with medical insurance. I called my insurer and they were quite happy to extend to 1 year foc. You just need to ask.
