Looks like the trades have gone from the list, I was hoping for a transfer to the SMP, perhaps i'll have to wait till 2013 after all

Its not opened yet, They are waiting for DIAC to approved SMP, once its done then they will start processing again.

The occupation list is not shown on QLD website yet. It will be after they will announce the SMP.

Hello Guys,
Just want to share some updates I received from Queensland State Department regarding their SMP plan. Below is their reply regarding SMP announcement.


"Nothing has changed at the moment and as the Federal Government is now in caretaker mode the SMP most likely will not get approved until after the elections."

hmmm, i think all the states are holding out the SMP until the recently announced elections are over. Similar is the announcement by Victoria State.

Incase of QLD they have already submitted their plan for DIAC approval before 1st July but still on hold.

I think that I applied to Queensland Sponsorship in April, and my sponsorship is C# Specialist (ASCO 2231-79).

I also applied for QLD SS at the end of april and they have hold my application due to changes and now they are waiting for SMP. What documents they are asking from you ?

They are asking documents such as actual Payslip and a letter from my actual job. Have they send you anything about your SS?

Well in my case they have already made a decision and I was likely to receive the outcome but due to temporary suspension they have hold my case. Now after 1st july every applicant will get the SS under SMP plan so they are saying its still on hold until SMP released.
