Glad I have stayed the extra 3 weeks here in Perth...as per my/our life....certain things I covered have all gone down the swannie....ie rental agent still taking dd's out of our bank account...many phone calls and emailing later I was handed a nice cheque (a cheque was all the agent would issue so good job I was still in WA) GAS and Electricity not to mention Telstra have been a "mental battle" after receiving bills that would brake the bank of England....had to "sort" those out....but other than that I am chillaxing...lol....oh the Bond from our rental is becoming a problem...have a card and flowers from the owner to say thank you for looking after their home so well.....so full bond being handed over to us.....but the way our agent is that could be this time next year...lol....one day I may get through the pearly gates as through all of this I have remained the lovely, nice and polite person I am....lol.....no seriously that's the truth.......not long now until we leave Perth....when the Volcano news broke I thought "you cannot be serious"...amongst other things...okay off I go to start on the bottle of wine I have just bought...

It'll all work out.
Best of luck to you.

In a few days it will all be over and you will be where you belong! It certainly sounds like stress central there though so take care of yourself and imagine getting on the plane and the feeling of relief that will wash over you! Good luck

There's light at the end of the tunnel my dear - not long now!! I have to say that the Utility companies in Aus are a pain in the bum at the best of times but when you're trying to organise everything else, I can only imagine how frustrating they could be

Hi...had a short but good night sleep..at last....lol...had a phone call from the company who is "shipping" our small dog...and there is now a delay in her departure as there is a now a back log with B.A....she now arrives in the UK at the start of June...it gives us some time to settle first before she arrives...but we do have to pay extra boarding kennel payments...we went out for a meal with friends to the very first pub we visited when we arrived in Perth...had a lovely night...bitter sweat really...I did think "why could it not always be like this" but I know it is only because we are returning home....okay have to get ready as I am going into Perth BEFORE my OH arrives this evening.....well he can only stand so much shopping...AND we are going into the City tomorrow....to do a little bit of shopping..lol...
Thanks for the best wishes..it really does mean a lot...especially the "good luck" part.....

Hi Brits,
Haven't been on much lately, just dipping in and out.
Good luck with everything, although it can seem such a daunting thing when you are still in Oz once you are back on British soil it all the doubts and worry just go out the window. (Well, it did for me lol). Yes it takes some time but you just just get on with what needs to be done and it all falls into place. I for one can say it's definately been worth it.
Enjoy your few days stopover before the next chapter begins.

Bet ya can't wait, brits!
Sorry to hear about the last weeks stress, but just think of putting it all behind you.
Believe me, it will be long forgotten sooner than you think
We are also starting to get nicely settled now, just a couple of minor things, and we're almost better off than we were before we left. And as things fall into place, we just keep thinking to ourselves how good it is. Look forward to hearing the same from you soon, do let us know when you're back in blighty

Wishing you the very best of luck x x
We've now been "Home" since 20 Nov 09 and we are still loving it.
Perth was a lovely adventure and I have some lovely memories (and some really crap ones - LOL) but Scotland will always be home.
