I am thinking of moving to the Republic of Ireland, has anybody any info on where it would be cheapest to buy, rural .
Also best bank to get an account , and what is needed.
What is the procedure for mortgages over there.

Where do you get an NI number from.

Any help woulds be good

Cheapest part, i believe, is Mayo or Donegal in the NW.

NI numbers are called pps numbers try www.revenue.ie

all the banks are pretty much the same need a min of proof of postal address and id. Try bank of ireland, aib,ulster bank

We got our PPS numbers from department of social and family affairs . Local offices in most towns.
