Anyone know where to go for:

1. Basic house buildings/contents insurance

We've used Mapfre for our insurance so far, although we took out the house insurance with them through our bank. You'll find that most banks offer insurances, or failing that if you have a gestoria ask him.

I could have got cheaper than Mapfre, but when a recent accident happened in Oliva I noticed that the Mapfre tow truck arrived within about 10 minutes ... my neighbour told me they are not always the cheapest but their service is absolutely excellent

We use Mapfre, and had to make a claim recently, I went to thier office, reported the problem, they had an assesor out within 24 hours, and a further specialist 24 hours later. Without having to make an itemised claim, the money was in our bank account within 7 days.

Called these today, their 'sales' office seem very efficient.

Has anyone got any experience of putting a claim through them and can comment on how they've performed?
