I know it's daft but I am dreading sending my Rosie. I've read everything about it and we are in the capable hands of Golden Arrow but I am getting so stressed about the whole thing - the airport, the travelling box, the flight, quarantine - every time I look at her I feel so guilty about what we are putting her through. There is no way I could go with out her and I know everyone says they're fine, but I am finding this part of the whole process the worst. I think only another dog owner can understand this, so please tell me I'm doing the right thing.

Not taking dog but Cat with Golden Arrow and think what your feeling is perfectly normal. Your dog will be fine and just try to focus on the future.
My cat (rescue cat) is fourteen in september so i am worried think about the journey and quarantine period but know if she doesn't go neither do I. My cat and I are potty about each other.
Stay positive your dog will be fine.

Your dog will be ok. Really. Our 2 golden retrievers came out with us a year ago via Golden Arrow and have settled in perfectly and they will help you settle also. They love the weather, even when it is over 40 they find somewhere cool.
Best wishes

brought my two springer spaniels over here in january. was also worried about sending them and was a big weeping wreck when i dropped them off at the airport.
but the dogs just love it here. they were completely fine thorugh the trip and had no probs at all. thye spend their entire life outside in the garden now - their choice!! - and i've never seen them happier!
you're dog will be fine and will be much happier being with you, than having to move to a new home!

We are not even in a position to think about it yet, but I can't stand the thought of my dog being in that box for all that time, and then having to spend all that time without us once she gets there.
I hate just putting her in the kennels when we go on holiday, and also really miss her
Others may think I am mad, but they are such an important part of your family.
I am sure it is the right thing to do, after all, it would be really hard to start a new life without them, but it is also not an easy thing to have to do.
Good luck.
Please let us know how it goes.

I brought my two dogs over here 2 years ago. At the time one was 7 and the other was 16 years old (the vet had given her the all clear).
I used Golden Arrow and they were fantastic. The dogs spent 4 weeksin quarantine in Sydney and came out looking fantastic.
The older dog (now 19) is fine. She loves the heat and still enjoys going for a swim every day.
I can understand your worries but believe me.. they settle very quickly.
