It seems like months I've been seeing this house here and on facebook. It looks nice enough, except for having enough land to be a bother and too little to be any use.

Surely if it aint sold by now, it's too dear. Try it at $249,000.

Thanks for the advice, it's actually already under the market value and if we have to drop that low then there's no point, we need to get some of our money back. 3 months on the market isn't a long time for here. It's a beautiful house we are vey proud of , I think what you say about the land is ridiculous, just my opinion.

Is that a house you are selling that you have given a link to?

If so, may I gently remind you of site rules. Thanks.

It's only a link to a house for sale - does it really matter?

Is it just bellanova that has to remove a link or other people that have also posted links to houses?

No, per rule 9, she cannot advertise her own property in a link in a post. If someone else wants to post a link to other houses (or hers, for that matter) then they are free to as long as it is not their own.

Self advertising is not permitted in posts, though a link in a signature is allowed.

Hope that clears up any misunderstanding.

Yes it does. Unfortunately if one member is allowed to provide a link to something they are selling then it sets a precedent and other members will feel that they can do so too. They are quite welcome to put a link in their signature, just not in a post.

As for the OP would somewhere like along the shores of the any of the great lakes not work, possibly making it more economical/easier for trips to the uk for visits. I think ease of access to the UK should be considered in your situation.

If one was OK with sneaky , then I suppose fine in one's own head. However, the poster was asked
& has stated it is her own and so the post link has been removed per the BE rules which apply to everyone. That is all. No need for any sort of fussing.

Now. I shall try to stick a link to her property in her own sig for her as today's special offer.

She can also place an ad in the BE classifieds and then link to that too.

That will get her property more exposure than this carry on.

Any further posts ref this house ad link removal , I shall remove to a place of their own so as not to further derail the thread

OK happy bunnies. Onward ho & back to topic.
