Heyyy so happy for you. We applied for our 475 roughly at the same time. But you were always one step ahead of the rest

Now we lived in Adelaide and lucky (because we came with two children behind) we managed to get jobs straight away but I was the main applicant and couldnt' get full time position, so my husband got a full time offer and he's been in his job for two years f/t.

We had a baby (number 3) also, and oh gosh it's been a struggle...since we are so limited when it comes so any help from the government.

Anywa time is still approaching for us to apply for 887 (on 3 Oct) and I would be so grateful if you could let me know whether you applied on line or on paper.

Also so nice to see someone determined and chasing the dream..you are one in a million and you so deserve all what you have achieved. I Haven't read one post from you whinging, moaning or complaining (like some do) so from the bottom of my heart enjoy your richly deserved holidays wherever that plane takes you and safe return to Australia.

Can't wait for your reply.

Love the comments highlighted in red

Hi summers, how are you? I do remember you being on 475 journey with me I remember everyone PamE, Gypsy, you and others. It's been a dream come true for me and I so hope the same for you.

My Adelaide experience was horrible though it's a beautiful city, but I wouldn't wanna be there for a single moment. Reminds me of those days when I was in dire straits. I read somewhere, "If you hate, you have no time to love". So you said it right, no posts from me about whinging because I occupied myself with much better things than to whinge. Also, there were 3 options for me:

1. Whinge and go back
2. Whinge and stay
3. Or simply accept the fact that it's life and live it fully and courageously (I chose this one and remained happy and even more happier now)

Talking about government benefits; the day I got grant, next day I got a little sick, day later got my medicare card, and the day after went to the doctor. Long story short, could have been an absolute nightmare/waste of money had I got sick during my Temp VISA because I would have to pay fortunes to see the doctor but all went really well as I'm permanent (almost an Australia citizen without a passport LOL). So, yeah, PR has it's benefits and above all, I could now work in Melbourne which has loads of jobs.

Regarding my application, I applied online. Make sure all your paperwork is completely arranged so that CO has less hassle in giving grant. The more work he/she needs to do, the longer it'll take. It took me 18 days and I'm a PR holder now. Passport and everything stamped and just enjoying and awaiting my holidays So, I repeat, your paper work should be very clear and complete and easier to follow.

Any questions, feel free to ask. I'll be more than glad to help out.

P.S. Congratulations for your baby no. 3

Summer and PamE, you guys just don't know how honored I feel after those comments. It didn't occur to me that I came this far until I started this thread and guys like you have admired which really makes me think twice of what I've done in the past and I just can't believe it myself as to how long I've come thus far. It's no less than a miracle. Thanks for thinking of me like that both PamE and Summer. I do really really appreciate it and feel special

Mark my words, you guys will get your grant very very soon

Ah yes really, I should not complain as very lucky with regard to Medicare - all free (well same as what aussies pay) for me as UK citizen as our governments have a reciprocal healthcare agreement; and altho my husband is German he lived in UK long enough prior to coming here to qualify also. I forget is not same for all on temp visas, should count ourselves very fortunate .... still want those child benefits very badly tho!

Bermudashorts has already answered your question in this thread. Since you're asking the question again, virtually word for word, I have to wonder - have you looked at the link she provided at all? Since I'm feeling generous, I've linked the specific parts of the site that have the information on, but I'm not pasting the information directly as you appear to have not even bothered reading the link that Bermudashorts provided. All the information that I've just linked there I found through clicking Bermuda's original link & it took me less than 5 minutes to gather. People are more likely to help if you've attempted it first yourself. We won't do it all for you.

Also, it's quite intrusive to ask for people's e-mail addresses (also against site rules - see number 5).

Thanks for your help Mrsgreenstar76,

I am still confused about 475 Visa.Dear i have already red your given details and it helped me alot. It was about VISA 887 case.In case of 475 Visa,I have to do my field job only or i can do any job?Its not mentioned on the website of DIAC.I have to do job of the nominated skill in which region has given me sponsorship or i can do any job? Before applying for PR i have to confirm that i am fulfilling the needs of VISA 475 by living in specified area for 2 years and 12 months in nominated skill or not?In case of PR,its not restricted to any job...So can i directly apply for PR after 2 years in specified area and doing any job for 12 months?no confirmation of 475 Visa is required?

I am confused that's why i am asking this..

Your support and cooperation is already appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
M.fahad Khan
