It seems you're just angry now and prepared to challenge any post... even those that have nothing to do with our pleasant exchanges.

I'm pretty sure that when Jeff responsed WRT the FAM, he wasn't even talking to you! He was responding to Apfelkuchen's post... which, if you're observant, he quotes in his response.

It would take more than words from you to make me angry. Do not assume and flatter yourself.

I see my post triggered some discussion... I have to say that even if ian-mstm's comments can seem a bit dry at times, they are very useful
. I have to say that the site has been very helpful to me in this process and I have learned that I need to be precise in what I say, which I am sure will be helpful in future dealings with any administration...

Hi, my husband had his medical on August 15th and sent along the 2001 the next day. We haven't heard about the interview date yet, it might be a bit early but has anyone had medicals around the same date?
Should we expect to hear soon? I'm tempted to call the expensive number if we don't hear in the mail today!
We have plane tickets to California on October 24th so I'm really nervous it won't be wrapped up by then.

My husband had his medical on the 15th of August as well. However, we sent in the paperwork saying we were ready for interview the day after we received the LND number. I called the expensive number last week and was told he had been allocated an interview for 11 October and that the letter was in the mail. But the actual letter has not arrived yet.
Good luck!

This is a patience game, which makes it rather excruciating for me since I have a pronounced lack thereof!!
At least we're all in the same boat so can give each other moral support

In my case, I had my medical on the 3rd of August and I called the embassy exactly two weeks after the medical. The person on the phone couldn't see my interview date on the system but she assigned my interview date on the 12th of September. I know I was very lucky, but you never know, you may be very lucky too. So, I would give it a try!
I thought we'd be safe with our end of October plane tickets but maybe not. We still have about 7 weeks so it may still happen. I'm getting excited to move! I just want it over with. When I applied for my UK visa, I had my passport back approved within two days! Quite a different process

Hi all
I had my visa interview in London today and my immigrant visa was approved

I will write my experience up in the morning because i'm absolutely shattered right now and it hasn't sunk in right now. I'll get a good sleep and report back fully tomorrow and say my thank you's

So my interview letter arrived today, scheduled for the end of September. IR-1. My husband and my FIL have completed an I-864 each but do I need to get payslips/bank statements from both of them or just my FIL? Are payslips/bank statements even necessary or is my nerves just adding to my load? Just read Psychosleftpegs review and it made me a little worried!
