Default Perth to UK - shippping recomendations pls!

Hi

We'll be moving back to the UK in a few months and I'm after some tips on who to use going back. We'll be shipping a 40ft container.

We used John Masons (who we were really happy with) coming out and they used Kent to deliver the container over here - they seemed ok but I guess I want to know who's a good packer/shipper.

Anyone got any experience?

Cheers

Hi we moved from perth to france on boxing day and when we originally moved out to oz we also used john mason, who we found really good, and then it was wridgeways. This time we have used the same people again but i wasn't too keen on them wrapping my goods as i felt i had to keep an eye on them. I found they were more intrested being on their mobile phones and some of the things they did pack weren't actually what they wrote on the boxes. Also there were only 2 of them and they were both under 21yrs and messing around a bit. The father of one of the lads came the following day to put everything on the container but they packed it in a way where some of the items were still in my house and i had to keep going upto them and telling them i wanted that item on as well and they seemed a little put out by this. Oh well i'll see what it looks like when i receive it, hopefully nothing broken.
Hope evrything goes well with the move.

We used OSS to return, they were spot on and reduced the cost slightly when we got a better offer.

They use Anglo Pacific the UK end, very quick and very good!

Anyone know how much you are looking at for a 40ft. We've had a quote over $11k and wondered if that was low / high.

Thanks

We have used Kent, they use John mason at the other end. Started on Friday, just finished packing today, container comes tomorrow morning. They have done a pretty good job and it all looks well packed. Apart from telling them what I wanted packed I just left them to it TBH, although I did separate the small things not going into our big WIR after the first day though as they were literally packing everything in sight!!

We also had a lot of boxes that we didn’t unpack after we sold our house and moved to this rental and they have just wrapped them in the Kent paper and labelled accordingly so they don’t look owner packed.
