HI Minkyme,
You are right. I worked since I arrived in Adelaide the first 2 months but it was casual job and it was a factory job and part time casual. So, i couldn't count those months i worked. It's almost 10 monhts. Then in June 08, i got another casual job in customer service. The hours were very flucuate. Could be 40 hours a week or 15 hrs pw. So, i only kept the payslips of 35 hrs pw. In Oct 08, I got a permanent part time job for 25 hrs pw in customer service as well that's when i quited my factory job. So, from Oct 08, i started to combine my last two jobs hrs. Only weeks i worked 35 hrs a week that i kept payslips. So long your OH (don't really know what the full word :-)) keeps that he'll be fine. So, just count toward 52 weeks, we've done.
Yes, I have a small son. He was only 2 yrs and 3 months when we arrived. So, i sent him to child care most of the time and paid $300 per week so that both my hubby and i could work.
Sorry i can't tell u exactly where i am from for some reason but i'm from south east asia.
I understand how u feel if u have kids that's what i sacrified all my good job back home.
Wish you and family a great journey and great future for our kids.
Cheers,

Hi Kamrul,
You don't say if your original visa was state sponsored or not...
If it is state sponsored (SIR 495)then you must live in regional australia for 2 years, not in Sydney. So I would count from the 15th if I were you.....

Hi Kamrul,
Thanks. I will answer to the best knowledge i have about 887. I think the immigration is counting the two years residence in regional area. So, I would strongly recommend you to submit your application on the 23rd Mar, the date you stepped in Adelaide not Sydney. The reason is 1 year work experience and 2 years residence in Adelaide are the most important in that 887 visa subclass. It's only one week differece though. I know how frustrated the feeling toward 887 visa application.
Good luck.

Hiya,
The answer to that question is yes...you can start one and put in a forward date and save it at the relevant spots, that's what I've done and we can't submit til 12th April...good luck

I think you can only save for up to 28 days.
For 887 adelaide, one reason I would think of is that to be able to start the application online, it has to be exactly 2 years from the date you were granted the previous visa. For example, if your termporary visa was granted on the 20th March 2008, you can only be able to start online application on the 20th March 2010.
Hope that helps.
Good luck,

Hi there
I cant apply for my 887 visa just yet, but I want to be organised and get up to speed with the processes etc.
I cam here on 5th Nov 2008 on a 475 and we want to gett all the paperwork ready to submit on 5th Nov 2010. I have read on here that I might not have to arragne and pay for medicals and polcie checks again? Can someone clarify this for me please
Also the fee for submitting your application is around £3500!
I really dont think I can go throught all that process again, last time was so stressfull
Any help and advice is appreciated! thanks Debs

Hi there
You don't have to arrange medicals check again but you have to arrange police clearance in Australia. It only takes you about 10 days and costs you $43 per person. [/B][/COLOR]

The visa application fee at the moment is $230. I think it would increase slighltly after July this year but not that much.

I think if you applied online and your application is complete it will take up to one month to get the visa.

Hi All,
I am on 495 visa and already completed my 2 yrs stay in South Australia and more than 1.6 yr work experience, I have some queries - is anyone help me to give an answer of my queries - I would be very much thankful
1- I was away for 9 weeks ( on oversease tip) - do I need to stay 9 weeks more than apply for PR or as now Australia is my home so it does not make any diffirnce to go oversease
2- I am a married person but my wife and an infant is still in my home country but my wife has delivered a baby in South Australia and return back to my country , I have Australian birth certificate for my son but still do not have my son's passport ( 2 months old). I wish to include them in my application - so please advise and guide - what could be the Government VISA FEE for all of us
3- If I submitt paper base application - where I need to send this application - please advise about postal address
4- some one told me that If I apply online - than I could not upload more than 1000 MB - as I have many payslips and docoments ie - residential proove, marriage certificate, birth certificate, passport, photo of my wife, my son and mine, PCC etc
5- MY WIFE ALREADY HAS PASSED IELTS with 6.5 - as spouse needs to provide only 4 in all four sessions.
Thank you all and waiting for your promt response
