Well apart from seeing how things progress politically we are going to send our boys to Hilton. They are hopefully going to spend a couple of weeks each year at a prep school nearby so they can become accustomed to the differing education.
And for all the SA guys out there - I love your sense of humour! I haven't laughed so much in ages - the guys out there are just so funny!

Bloody Typical, I get in touch with my Feminine side, hoping to get lucky, and she laughs at me. Sigh!!

Room 219, if I'm not there, start without me.

I wonder if ForeignGals plans are still in train? Or perhaps the ongoing collapse of international finance and credit has created an atmosphere of 'make do and mend'

Hi All,
I've not logged on for a while. We don't have to make a decision until 2010 so we're just seeing how the political climate develops. We've not been put off although the Rand is slowly strenghthening!

I Think I posted on here that Africa has many interesting ways to try and kill you.
22 yo Neice is fighting for her life in ICU as the recurring Bilharzia allied with Tick Bite Fever caused her Kidneys to fail last Weds which caused a stroke.
For those who wish to, a prayer would be appreciated.
For those who have'nt lived there, you get tick bites from Hiking, mowing the lawn,Going for a walk, Bilharzia you get from Still water so no Swimming/Sking/Sailing on any of the Large Lakes or dams.

I am so sorry to hear this Daxk. Most certainly a prayer from me. Bilharzia is nasty stuff. I got the pleasure of dealing with it as a kid in Zambia. My sisters and I had been swimming in Lake Bangwelo (Zambia) and we all ended up getting rather sick as a result of it. Fortunately Aunt was a doc and was able to get us all the right treatment quickly.

Thanks Tegs, appreciate it.
This dose was either from waterskiing at Hartesbeespoort or at Midmar dam.
She has led a charmed life sofar , she was working at De Wildt Cheetah Centre last year when she got nailed by two young Cheetahs, that was 47 stitches, she survived that and the infection, so she is a strong young lady.
She's on Dialisis but another stroke or heart attack within the next 24 hours will probably kill her.

Thanks People, no news is good news.
Critical but stable, and being very brave.there is Brain damage and paralysis on one side but extent and recovery assumptions are on hold.
Kidneys are still on full failure
Thank you for the thoughts.
