EPS has scrapped their fitness test
This is for real..
EPS has scrapped the fitness requirements and you will now only have to do the PARE test to qualify.

Ahhh - and after all that BS posted in that newspaper article (posted by minihaha on the other thread) about how tough it was/they are

The official line is that they will still do component testing (chins, dips etc) once you are in. So it will still be tough once you get in..This is so that they dont dip out on good applicants just for the sake of a few chin ups.The province of Alberta wanted EPS to fall in line with all other forces' requirements for fitness on entry..

hey wayne, mr fat boy dave is jumping for joy here right now 
hes applied too, and was having nighmares about plodding round the field,
n huffing and puffing then dragging his heels to the gym,
he ran up the hill here this morning, and what a site that was, poor soul.

don't get too carried away. they are still mustard on the fitness, testing will continue and i shall imagine class will be even harder as they train up some who only just can do the PARE and nothing else. It has not been well received here i can tell you.
