Ok we are planning a trip to Dubai, en route to Europe, but would like to see Dubai too, we have two small children, and basically dont want to be there when its really hot and humid. When this year is the best month to go, we arent bothered if its not too warm (although I suspect it will be) or rainy. I realise Dubai is supposed to be hot and humid every day of the year, but there must be months that are cooler than others.............hopefully

october is perfect! sea's a great temperature - not really any humidity. march/april is also nice, but you've missed that this year!

Duai is only hot and humid in the summer. By mid October the humidity has fallen right off and it is like a good English Summer. It stays that way until about mid April. The humidity is more of a problem than the heat and is worst in June, July and August. I would advise anybody to avoid those months.

This is still a good time untill Endof May. (Dont know about you folks but i think evenings can be lovely)

Ramadan will begin around Sep 23/24 and run until about Oct 23. You might find that a bit inconvenient, particularly with children. Drinking, eating and smoking in public before sunset, say 6pm at that time of year, are against the law. Hotels do serve food and drink to their guests in closed off restaurants, but you will find all coffee shops & restaurants not in hotels are closed during the day. Supermarkets are open, but you can't buy food for a picnic and take it to the beach. Evenings are a great time, as it's one big party every night for a month. If you have children and want to spend time on the beach, I would really recommend you come a month later when Ramadan is over. The weather will be much nicer then. Late September is still very hot and humid.
