I did not have to trawl the archives to find the reference. I got karma for my original post, so it was pretty easy to track.

And yes, I am most certainly a bloke. Not a big bloke (and smaller than last time you saw me, unfortunately).

Yes. I was overweight when I was younger. I hated it. Over the last decade or so I have moved little either side of 140. Not exactly Mr Muscle but certainly not fat. A few months ago a combination of events caused me to lose a lot of weight quite quickly. I will confess that I was a bit worried about it (it's pretty much the first question you get asked at a medical). Anyhoo, things got back to normal. The two problems now are that my normal diet is not conducive to gaining weight and my missus (all lardy 125lb of her) is on a diet. I want to get back to 140. Short of living on Big Macs for a month, I don't hold out much hope.

I always find foods beginning with "C" do the trick: cookies, cake, candy, chocolate, crisps, cheese and Coke. Although that would probably be worse than a month of Big Macs. Perhaps pizza and pastas with cream sauces would be a healthier alternative, and plenty of fruit juice or smoothies! What a problem to have !!
