The Weekly Food Shop Around the Globe

Thought this was quite fascinating (despite being from the Daily Mail), although I'm not sure the Canadian contingent is very representative of Canada - isn't it a bit pricey in Iqaluit? I was surprised at the amount of booze the Germans have and also the amount of pop the Mexicans have. Not surprised at the crappy diets of the westerner s though!

I don't like the look of those Aussies and the British lot could smile a bit. Are they stuck in the 70s? Prawn cocktail and cake?

It would be more interesting though if they told the reader how much they spent on food as a % of their income. Spending GBP3.20 in whichever country it was could be the equivalent of $200 in Canada for all we know...

A fine peer-reviewed publication, and objective and intelligent, as well.;)

One can hope that a large number of DM readers conclude that they should emigrate to Somalia because the shopping's so cheap.

A death blow to UKIP.

Bloody hell. The Aussies eat 40 fish fingers a week. I was also impressed with the display by the Germans.

Ah, you beat my toned down edit. I shall now have to re-edit it and have the edit badge of shame :(
