Hi all,
I'll be moving to Leuven in July this year, and I've been trying to get some info on the best places to do a weekly shop on a gluten free diet. It seems a lot more sparse than here in New Zealand, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has a similar problem, what they would recommend in terms of supermarkets etc, mainly for things like pasta and flour.
Would be an awesome help,
Thanks
Jon

The Delhaize chain of supermarkets has a list of Gluten free on its website, there isn't exactly a lot to choose from but they are at least doing it.The English shop Stonemanor also have a couple of products.
There is also Allegro and Allervita which is are specialist diet shops and they both have online ordering.
Even amazon can be of use when ordering online too.
As to how good these all are I cannot say but there is some choice at least.

Thats an interesting coincidence because only yesterday I was having this discussion with people here in Spain. Gluten free food is freely available here in supermarkets and in a lot of restaurants as well. Doesnt help you of course, but its interesting to note the way things are going

Thanks, I'll be sure to look those up
I suppose the only way to tell for sure is once I get there and eat the stuff, but it's nice to look at prices at least.
