Thanks for the reply - we were thinking of Canberra and I should be able to find work there easy enough. I have looked at the average temps, but do you know the realistic summer and winter temps...

Generally great responses..thanks. :)...we still have valid UK passports and not sure when we will be returning to Oz...sick mum in UK..could be a year or two..hence thinking about travelling in UK...

Thanks..interesting about the signature and the £1,I will bear that in mind. I always advise others to always send cheques/ bankers drafts in times like this , its a sensible plan

Thanks for the advice, but by writing "without prejudice" just means that they can not use this letter in court preceedings if it ever got that far. I am sure it won't but just nice to cover my...

just to answer one question....they knew my address as I let the UK bank know where I was going (I didnt let other banks etc know, just that one as had interest etc to...
