it may have changed now they are going from uk and online applications where you can i think track the parcel... when i last got one from germany tho dhl just rang up to ask where to deliver it etc

the embassy dont usually have anything to do with them, try dhl to see what comes up as they are trackable etc. and as you may know sometimes you need to do face to face to get anything sorted here.

well on about uae, as thats what been said before... but we of course know they all follow different rules, even when they see the moon for ramadan, muscat always sees it later but really they...

yes on every thread about this it is the case, your visa would be cancelled if you get an etd and also its usually the case your passport application is usually cancelled too.

yes but they are thinking that people are just returning to the uk, which you can return on expired british passports anyways! none of this has really helped the expats, but i know people that have...

no i get it ...... my hubs had to renew his passport once because it was full (before they did the 48 pages) and it still had like 8 years left on it.

my point is that they really dont get that...

i didnt mean that.... i meant that people are moaning they dont have passport for travel etc.... but its not just used for that like it is here, its used for visas etc and people have sent away...

all this about business trips and cancelled holidays, but they are forgetting people who live overseas needs it for visas etc... so thats not going to help with residence visas in an expired passport...

but then they should refund you all your monies paid and you apply again in 12 months! but fly back to the uk to do it i would.

it was about a week "before" the "backlog" so who knows.... its buried somewhere in orange boxes.

you can get a new visa put in the new one with a bit of persuasive intervention

it depends on the passport office, that information is all listed online as its different timings for different offices.

it depends just ring up and see each office will be different time scales, but i would say that the peeps in uk who are suffering same sort of issues will be using them all up too!

the issue is since they have moved it from germany as of late last year... and it now all goes thru uk, even people in the uk are having major issues, they have cut back on staff and with the peak...

yeh to get it back in 4 hours you need to check depending on which office you are at whats the latest appointment it does say on website etc.

mine came separately but together if you get my drift... last renewal was germany so they came from different countries started their journey a day apart but ended up in abu same time so we got 2 new...
