For the landing process we needed to bring our passports and some printed documents that CIC sent us.

We did have to send a letter from my employer to CIC with the passports when the application...

Not sure of the date we sent the PNP application off but it was a week or so before the we heard from them

The email is from a .gc.ca domain and is addressed to you personally, so you shouldn't have any problems.
